Workshop Details
The SVG European Workshop offers technical and business professionals working with Scalable Vector Graphics a forum to meet other professionals working in this field and to share experiences and learn from one another.
Participants will have a chance to meet their European peers and share knowledge and information with the key players in the European SVG industry. Companies will have the ability to demonstrate to a targeted audience their latest product offerings for building content and applications using SVG. Decision makers will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and technical developments in the delivery of content and applications using Scalable Vector Graphics.
Workshop Presentation Tracks

The workshop will last two days. Visit the
presentation schedule for the list of registered presenters and information about their planned presentation topics.
Participation
Each participant is expected to present a talk in one of the tracks. However, we have reserverved a limited number of spots for participants who do not plan to speak at the workshop. The fundamental concept and purpose of the workshop is to share information between professionals, the cornerstone of this sharing being the presentations.
Talks can cover any SVG-related subject including:
- Product offerings
- Statements of need
- Case studies
- Show and tell
- Discussions about issues
- Directed search for answers

The spring 2006 European SVG Workshop took place at the
Hotel InterContinental Zurich.

Target Audience
The SVG Europen Workshop is specifically aimed at professionals in Europe working with SVG on the desktop and mobile spaces. Talks are to be aimed at decision makers, technical architects, and SVG-aware technical advisers.
The intent of the workshop is not to offer detailed technical presentations. In order to maintain flow and general interest, presenters wishing to offer talks with a large degree of technical detail are invited to present 10-minute lightning talks.
Fees and Registration
The cost of participating in the workshop is EUR200 for one day and EUR350 for two days. Due to feedback from interested persons, a limited number of spaces is being made available for participants who do not desire to make a presentation but wish to attend to gather information.
Prices include attendance to all talks; a three-course lunch on both days; two coffee breaks per day; the two-day fee includes an ice-breaker dinner on Thursday evening.
Participants representing a non-profit organisation or an educational institution may be eligible for a discount on a case-by-case basis.
